The author begins the article by stating, “Retirement planning is more than about the money. As an economist, friends will sometimes ask me about how to figure out if they have enough money to retire comfortably. But often the biggest issue is not money, but what they will do with their lives.”

As a Retirement Coach- this is something myself and my colleagues have been pointing out for years- it is a great reminder for people nearing retirement to understand and to think about. 

Peoples concerns, uncertainty, and stress regarding retirement are often not rooted in the numbers. It is the qualitative factors that give people the greatest pause when thinking about (and not thinking about) this life transition.
