Keep in mind…the vast majority of financial advisors do not discuss any of the non-financial issues (physical, mental, social, spiritual) that can derail the most well-intentioned retirement.  Of those who say they do, they only superficially cover these topics.

Doesn’t it make more sense to decide the WHAT, HOW, WHEN, and WHERE of your retirement and then create a portfolio that helps you live out (fund) your desired retirement lifestyle?

Instead, the way it is currently done is…save for retirement, decide to retire, and then think about how you want to spend this time with the portfolio you have- with little or no help from your advisor.
